The rule of thumb is, it's usually better just to start from scratch and create your materials in the Arnold material node editor instead of hoping that a converted material will turn out the same. Main color, subsurfacescattering, transparency color and trans details are all missing. So things like the luminance, reflectiveness and roughness, bump maps and alpha channels transfer pretty well, as do the C4D noises, and while the converted shader will turn transparency on, that's about it - nothing else from the original transparency channel transfers. Many things don't transfer over (including, most mindbogglingly of all, the main color, even if you use a PBR workflow ). Now, be forewarned, this is not a perfect solution. Kind of - in the Arnold menu under Utilities there is a Convert Selected Material to Arnold Material.
